Percentage change and operating margin calculator

Run educational calculations with values you choose, without an account.

Use the same currency and scale. The first value must be positive. Inputs stay in this page; they are not sent to analytics.

How to interpret the result

Percentage change = (current / previous − 1) × 100. Operating margin = operating income / revenue × 100. Compare equal-length periods and the same accounting basis. A zero or negative comparison base requires separate interpretation and is not calculated here.

Neither calculation measures investment returns or determines company value. Results are rounded to two decimals; taxes, inflation and currency conversion are not modeled.
